Children’s Film Bonanza held

The Children’s Film Society of India (CFSI) began its weeklong Children’s Film Bonanza today at Government Girls Higher Secondary School in West Garo Hills. The festival is an outreach initiative by the Cinedarbaar along with the support from the Meghalaya Board of School Education. The Project Planner from Cinedarbaar Mr. Aayush Raj said the film festival Bonanza will continued till 4th September.

It may be mentioned that CFSI is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India and promotes healthy and wholesome entertainment for children to broaden their perspective and encourage them to reflect on the world around. The festival aims to inculcate in children an interest in cinema and expose young students in North Eastern States to cinema so that they develop a keen interest in the aesthetics of film making and the art of film criticism.
