The BJP and it’s electoral ally tribal based Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura (IPFT) has scripted a history by eroding 25 yrs old Left Front from the power with a humiliating defeat in the assembly election. Except CPI-M none of it’s front partner Forward Bloc, RSP and CPI could be able to win even a single seat and Left Front end up at 16, which was 51 in last assembly. The BJP alone could secure the victory in 35 seats including 10 tribal reserved seats of 59 while IPFT won 8 of the 9 seats they contested. The tribal base considered to be the foundation of CPI-M in Tripura was uprooted by two years old BJP led alliance by winning the heart of tribal people initiating a strategic agenda.

Meghalaya had always witnessed a fractured mandate and formation of coalition governments, except in the initial years of state formation, when the All Party Hills Leaders Conference (APHLC), which spear-head the separate Hill State Legislative Assembly, for almost three term. With the fragmentation APHLC and the emergence of Regional Parties of the era of single majority party in the state came to an end, becoming only a history.

A SHAM CALLED PNB SCAM

How can the biggest ever banking fraud of India’s one of the greatest financial institutions priding itself in having account holders like Lala Lajpat Rai, Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and Lal Bahadur Shastri remain “Nirav:” silent?

No wonder the great heist with the Punjab National Bank (PNB) by Nirav Modi, the first Indian to be featured on the covers of Christie’s and Sotheby’s Catalogues has created a massive bang across the world.

A desperate Nirav, ranking 1,234 in Forbe’s World Billionaire List for 2017, blamed the PNB for “Destroying My Brand.” Is not it a really amazing quotable quote?
