WHITE REVOLUTION IN TRIPURA Success story of two Milkmen

As per the Economic Survey 2015-16 presented by the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, India ranks first in milk production, accounting for 18.5 % of world production.

If we give voice about North- East India, consumption of milk and milk products is much lower in this area than the Northern states of India due to divergent food habit and less availability of milk. But due to changes in life style and increase in per capita income, the demand and production of milk and milk products is getting bigger. In North- East, Assam is the largest producer of milk followed by Tripura. But there is a significant increase in milk production in Tripura compare to any other state in North-East India. The reason behind this notable increase is mainly due to improvement in milk breed. Besides various Government Schemes and government assistance made the state remarkable in milk production. Many such success stories of dairy milk producers are there in Tripura to divulge. Prompt financial assistance from government and constructive motivation in form of training engrossed them to create such an example of successful role model amongst the youths of India. Anjan Kumar Das of Subhas Nagar village and Shyamal Bakshi of Champaknagar village might not have the same story of success but both are conveying the same emotions of attaining this utmost success.
