Mill strongly advocated for the liberty of thought and speech and wrote, “If all mankind minus one, were of one opinion, mankind would be no more justified in silencing mankind.” Harold J. Laski opines: “To allow a man to say what he thinks, is to give his personality the only ultimate channel of free expression, and his citizenship the only means of moral adequacy.”
