Beltola Incident
The unfortunate incident whereby a young Adivasi woman was stripped naked by some youths during the agitation by the Adivasis of Assam in Beltola, Guahati on the 24th of November 2007 and forced to flee naked through the streets in fear of her life. News of the incident has only further enraged the Adivasis and various NGOs and has drawn criticism from various fronts.
